The Committee

Chair and Conference Organiser.

The Chair is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of all ongoing PGF projects and events by liaising with the events and editorial teams and acting as a point of contact between the committee and university staff. In addition to this they organise the PGF Summer Conference, giving postgraduate students the opportunity to share their research by entering the poster competition, or giving a presentation.

Senior Editor of Pons Aelius, The PGF Journal.   

The Senior Editor leads our editorial team in the coordination, editing, and publication of the Pons Aelius journal. Amongst other responsibilities, they oversee the review processes for articles, ensure authors and committee members adhere to deadlines, and maintain communication with contributors to the journal.

Responsible for the organisation and management of the PGF seminar series, the coordinators collaborate to execute a succession of in-person seminars by postgraduate students and professional academics.

The respective Subject Editors for History, Classics and Archeology work in conjunction to review and edit the academic articles that assemble the PGF e-journal. Each editor collaborates with the authors of their assigned disciplines to curate a catalogue of high quality, research-driven articles that speak to the journal’s overarching theme.

Responsible for curating the PGF’s online presence, the social media officer oversees community engagement and the promotion of events on twitter, instagram and our website. They will also be busy documenting our events with photographs, videos and live twitter updates!
