Club Inclusivity Statement

As a club, we intend to be as inclusive and encouraging to all. To emphasises our commitment we look to our inclusivity statement as a call to action to deliver on this objective. Fundamentally, Inclusion is our priority. Creating an environment that fosters inclusivity, we believe is fundamental to the clubs, success in the short and long term.

Basic Welfare Tips for Athletes

Injury Awareness & Support
Don’t ignore pain. Report injuries early, and seek appropriate medical advice. Returning too soon can make things worse, rehabilitation is part of the process.

Prioritise Recovery & Rest
Adequate sleep, active recovery, and rest days are just as important as training. Overtraining can lead to fatigue and injury, listen to your body.

Stay Hydrated & Fuel Properly
Drink plenty of water before, during, and after sessions. Maintain a balanced diet with enough carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats to support performance and recovery.

Warm Up & Cool Down
Always complete a dynamic warm-up before training or racing, and include a proper cool-down with stretching to reduce the risk of injury.

Look After Mental Wellbeing
Training and competition can be demanding, especially in the lead up to competitions, don’t be afraid to talk about stress, pressure, or mental health challenges. Support is available from coaches, teammates, and welfare officers.
