Hello!
Are you interested in making music informally whilst you’re studying? Whether you like to sing or play an instrument, you’re welcome to get involved.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an amateur or skilled musician. You’ll receive guidance from our skilled Conductor as well as your fellow members to help you to improve your performances. All we do ask is that to join Orchestra you are at least Grade 3 on the instrument you want to play, and for both Choir and Orchestra you can follow along to sheet music.
Our rehearsals are informal, and the emphasis is of course on having fun. Snacks are offered during the break and we encourage you to get to know your fellow members during this time. We’ll also have joint rehearsals where you can meet all members. Regular pub socials after the rehearsals will be arranged as well as a programme of varied social activities.
We will have at least two performance opportunities a year with the potential for more.
