Held at The Works in Sheffield, this is a great event where you get the chance to represent Newcastle University. 6 men and 6 women are allowed to compete. This academic year we’ll be competing on the 16th of February 2019. For more info get in touch with our coach, Ollie Knowles, at one of our weekly meets!<\/p>\n Yes, another chance to compete! This time everyone and anyone can come along. No limit on spaces means no limit on experience either! Beginners and pros all welcome here. Held at the Valley<\/a>\u00a0in Newcastle, we climb against Durham and Northumbria Universities. Fancy dress\u00a0highly<\/strong> encouraged, prizes for best undergrad male, undergrad female, postgrad male, postgrad female, best mixed, female and male teams of three and bets fancy dress (individual and team)!<\/p>\n The main social event of the year, held in March is the NUMC Ball. It\u2019s held in Featherstone Castle in Northumberland and even people who have left the club 10 years ago still join us from across the country \u2013 it\u2019s that good. Starting with a three course dinner cooked by the our talented committee chefs, followed by the announcement of the new committee, we celebrate with a ceilidh and more free wine and beer than you can shake an ice axe at. We stay overnight in the castle, and in the morning share a hangover breakfast together before the coach returns us to Newcastle.<\/p>\n Freshers’ meal The Freshers’ meal is on the 4th of October!
