Getting Listed

Once your site is up and running, you will probably want it to be linked from the www.societies.ncl.ac.uk main page so that people can find it.

You can request a link to be added by emailing webmaster@ncl.ac.uk, stating the full URL of your society, and your preferred link text (which should be the name of the society itself).

Sites are currently listed in one of three categories:

  • Official Union Societies - We will only list societies in this category if they are formally approved by the Union. The Union Society list will be treated as definitive, and no other sites will be included in this category without the specific request of a Union Officer.
  • Athletic Union Clubs - We will only list societies in this category if they are recognised as official Athletic Union Clubs of the University. The Sports Centre list will be treated as definitive, and no other sites will be included in this category.
  • Other Clubs & Societies - Any society may request a link in this section.
