60th anniversary year
As you may be aware, 2012 is Newcastle University Gilbert and Sullivan Society's 60th Anniversary. As such we wish to invite all alumni members to a special reunion on the afternoon of our final performance of The Pirates of Penzance. The event will comprise of a lunch, raffle, speeches and a chance to see snippets of old shows. There will be a ticket that includes both the event and entrance to the show in the evening and you will of course be welcome to bring a guest.
The reunion will be held in the University's Student Union on Kings Walk at 1.30 pm on Saturday 18th February. The show is being performed in the Royal Grammar School's Theatre at 7.30 pm.

It's always nice to hear news from old friends, so if you have any news that you would like us to put on the website then let us know. Perhaps you've got married to the girl you met in NUGSS... Perhaps you've just had a baby and called it Ralph (Rackstraw)... Let us know through the Contact Us page.

If you have pictures, posters, programmes or even videos of a performance that you were in please contact us. We are also creating a database of past members that will eventually reach this website. It will include the years they were in the socity as well as an optional link to an e-mail address, website or social networking page. If you want to be added to the list know someone who would like to, please send us a message along with the academic year that you joined and left. If you wish to provide a link then tell us that too!
Local groups
Many past members join one of the many ameteur dramatics groups around Tyneside, including Gosforth Musical Society, St Andrew G & S Society and Tynemouth G & S Society. Don't forget to look out for productions by these fantastic groups too!
Ex-NUGSS Facebook group...
The Ex-NUGSS Facebook group was set up by Adrian Wall, a past member of NUGSS, to help those who have left the society to keep in touch. Members pas and present are encouraged to join the group!
