Newcastle University Mountaineering Club is a small, friendly group of like-minded students interested in anything to do with climbing and mountaineering. We do loads together including indoor bouldering and roped climbing, traditional climbing, sport climbing, outdoor bouldering and Scottish winter climbing. We are also the perfect platform from which to go on to do more adventurous things such as alpinism.
The club welcomes all abilities, from those who have never set foot on a hill or rock wall to hardened, Himalayan heroes – we will provide help and advice to anyone that needs it. We also have a supply of harnesses and helmets for member use.
